I've just learned of Tony's passing today, it was very sad news. I read the beautifully written obituary online at the Saratogian. I seems that "Mister Caruso" (as we knew him in the early '70's) had already lived a lifetime before we even met him all those years ago. He made a very positive impression on me and I'm thankful for that. It's amazing, how much more he still had to give to his community since - truly devoted. His life's story is inspirational.

To Kay & family, so very sorry to hear about Tony. He was my first principal in my first year of teaching in the old Palmer St., school. He was always kind, helpful, positive & supportive with us. What a lovely day the angels are rejoicing welcoming Mr.tony through those pearly gates.
I often have thought of him and his family as we were neighbors. Greybirch tral. He brings a smile to my face. And I recall that mustang of his. She was a beautiful one. But the love of his life was the family and his career.
May God comfort and surround you with warmth and love during this time.

Tony was the principal at Stillwater Elementary School when I started my teaching career. He was wonderful...kind, helpful, and always ready to listen. What a wonderful man! My sympathy to his family.
