Mrs. Dawn R. Aloisio Ilion - Mrs. Dawn R. Aloisio, 44, of 102 Avery Rd passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. Dawn was born in Little Falls on April 24, 1963, the daughter of Donald DeRosa and the late Donna Gray Shepardson. She attended Oppenheim Ephratah schools and graduated from Oppenheim Ephratah High School with the class of 1981. She later attended and graduated from HCCC with the class of 1983 with a degree in Business and Accounting. She was married to Mark Aloisio on September 17, 1994 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Dawn was a born entrepreneur. She was the owner and operator of Nails by Dawn and the Perfect Ten, Frankfort and Ilion. The couple were the owners and operators of White Glove Cleaners and later the Ultimate Cleaning Service of America, Ilion for many years. Dawn was responsible for starting the Herkimer County Lifeworks Alumni Group. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Little Falls. Dawn loved the outdoors especially going to fairs and fishing with her husband, Mark and their son, Marky. She will always be remembered as a very giving, out going and loving person in both her personal and business life. A wonderful and loving wife, mother and friend, Dawn is survived by her husband, Mark Aloisio; two sons Marky Aloisio Jr and Alex Aloisio both at home; her father, Donald DeRosa, Syracuse; her mother in law, Florence Aloisio of Mohawk; grand parents, Joseph & Winnie Volo of Mohawk; one brother & sister in law, Steven & Sandra Shepardson of VT; her step brothers and sisters in law, Jeff & Stacie Shepardson of Little Falls, Robert & Sandy Shepardson of Herkimer, Walter & Donna Shepardson Jr of Little Falls and Ken & Christine Shepardson of Round Rock, TX; one step sister & brother in law, Kathy & Herb Weldon of Chesapeake, VA, one brother in law, Steven Aloisio of Mohawk; her nephews and niece, Steven Aloisio, Stephanie Aloisio, Christopher Shepardson, Sean Shepardson and Steven Shepardson, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. She was predeceased by her mother and step father, Donna & Walter "Pudge" Shepardson; one brother, Donald Shepardson and her grand parents, Harold & Ruby Gray Her funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 2:00 pm in First United Presbyterian Church where a celebration of her life will be held by the Rev. Jon A. Noble, Pastor. Interment will be in West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-8 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home. By family request, please omit floral offerings.
