Mrs. Wanda Joan Rosendale
Sauquoit - Mrs. Wanda Joan Rosendale, 80, of 15 Jones Rd passed away Friday, September 15, 2006 in the home of her son and daughter in law, Chad & Michele O'Neil.
She was born in Herkimer on September 11, 1926, the daughter of the late Nar and Anna Kondratowicz Czarniawski and she attended Sauquoit schools. She was married to Kenneth O'Neil on April 11, 1950 in St. Patrick's Church, Clayville. Kenneth passed away in August of 1956. Wanda was later united in marriage to Walter Rosendale on June 17, 1972 in New Hartford. Walter passed away in February of 1991. Wanda was the owner and operator of Lakeside Tavern for many years and later was employed by General Electric, Utica and lastly ICL. She was a very active member of St. Patrick's Church, Clayville.
Wanda is survived by two sons & daughters in law, Chad & Michele O'Neil of Sauquoit and Shawn & Peni O'Neil of Daleville, VA; her grandchildren, Heather & Paul Irvis, Hillary & Michael Luckie, Trevor O'Neil, Todd O'Neil and Lindsay O'Neil; her great grand children, Haley Irvis, Tyrell Irvis and Lawson Luckie; one brother, Walter Czarniawski of New Smyrna, Fl; her special niece, Carol Ann Magner; three step children, Walter Rosendale Jr of Whitesboro, Karen Dahle & her life partner Sue Hessel of Lyme, CT and Barbara & her husband, Douglas Hoffman of Plattsburgh and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Helen Grooms and one brother, Joseph Czarniawski
Her funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm in St. Patrick's Church, Clayville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Moskal, Pastor. Wanda's family will receive relatives and friends in the vestibule of the church on Saturday from 1:30 until the time of the mass. Contributions in Wanda's memory may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY, 13413. Envelopes will be available in the vestibule of the church.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort.
