Mrs. Rose Marie Alsante Frankfort - Ilion - Mrs. Rose Marie Alsante, 67, of 606 Palmer St formerly of Elm St. Ilion passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 26, 2006 in Herman Memorial Hospital Southwest, Houston, TX. She was born in Ilion on July 16, 1938, the daughter of the late Dominick Ming and Lucy Boyer Chuff. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1956. Rose Marie was married to Jerome L. Alsante on October 5, 1956 in St. Mary´s Church, Frankfort. Mr. Alsante passed away on October 19, 1998. Mrs. Alsante was employed by Laser Precision and later for Trenton Technology, Utica for many years and retired in 1999. She was a Communicant of Church Of The Annunciation and a member Young At Heart Senior Citizens, the Red Hat Society and the AARP and served as Treasurer. Rose Marie was always an upbeat person who loved to travel and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who was always there for her family. Rose Marie is survived by one son, Jerome D. Alsante of Ilion; three daughters & sons in law, Deborah & Edward Pena of Houston, TX, Donna & William Murphy and Dawn & Ronald Calhoun, all of Ilion; one brother, Philip Chuff of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Jennifer Murphy, Melissa Murphy, Dominick Calhoun and Salvatore Calhoun; one great granddaughter, Kattie Murphy; her in laws, James & Rosalie Alsante of Frankfort and Santa Rose Coveleski of Mohawk and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by brother, Robert Chuff in 1978. Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:15 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 am in the Church Of The Annunciation where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Barratt, Pastor. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens will meet Monday afternoon at 4:00 at the funeral home for services.
