I met the Rex family when my daughter, LaShika, and their daughter, Carrie were in elementary school. The Rex family treated us like family. I trusted them enough to allow my precious baby girl to travel to New York with them, regularly. I would see pictures that were taken with the entire Rex family and she was only one who looked different but tihere was never a difference made. They loved her and I knew they did. LaShika and Carrie are now parents of their own children and still very good friends. I am very grateful for that and will always remember Dave as a great dad, a great friend and a great person. Rest in Peace Dave. Love Wisetta

I will miss Dave dearly. It was an unusual family circumstance that brought him into my life, but I could never have wished for anyone else. Kind, thoughtful, loving, and genuine.... what more could I have asked for in a "second Dad". He always treated us like we were his own - always talked, listened, shared - made us feel included and welcome. I will miss his love and caring advice, and definitely his laugh! It was my honor to call him my Stepdad. I wish him all the peace, freedom and joy he can possibly have in God's good land. Love You Dave!!!
